Paws for thought..

Welcome to our news page, this is where we can find all our news and information that happens in and around the Wright Zone – Doggy Day Care.

  • Doggy Day Care is open!

Hi, I’m Suzanne Wright, and I’m thrilled to finally say: Wright Zone Doggy Day Care is open and welcoming four-legged friends right here in Ventnor, Isle of Wight! After turning a simple workshop into a purpose-built indoor haven, we’ve created a calm, structured space where dogs can play, relax, and socialise in small, thoughtfully matched groups—no overstimulation, just genuine enrichment and care. With dedicated play zones, comfy rest areas, and even quiet spots for those who need a little extra space, our focus is simple: putting dogs first so they leave happy, tired, and ready for cuddles at home.

Whether your pup is a confident social butterfly or needs a gentle introduction to group life, we’re here to make every day feel like a second home. We’ve already seen tails wagging and friendships forming during our soft openings and inductions, and it’s been wonderful meeting local dog owners along the way. If you’ve been looking for reliable, welfare-led day care on the Island, why not pop over to our client portal to register and arrange an assessment? Limited spaces mean we keep things personal—get in touch via hello@thewrightzone.co.uk or 07966 909820. Here’s to more wags, more walks, and more wonderful days ahead! 🐾

  • A Lovely Start… and Just the Beginning 🐾

Wright Zone is now 10 weeks open, and what a special first chapter it’s been.

In that short time, we’ve started to build something that feels exactly as it was intended — a calm, structured space where dogs can settle, build confidence, and truly feel at home.

From our regulars who now trot through the door like they own the place (you know who you are 💁‍♀️)… to those just starting their journey with gentle inductions and shorter sessions, every dog is given the time, care, and understanding they need.

We keep our groups small and carefully matched by design, allowing each dog to feel safe, relaxed, and part of a balanced little pack — not overwhelmed or overlooked.

It’s been a joy to watch friendships form, confidence grow, and personalities shine 💚

And we’re only just getting started.

If you’re looking for a more personal, welfare-led approach to daycare — we’d love to welcome you.

Assessment/induction required – Limited spaces available

Carefully matched play — where dogs feel safe enough to relax, even during interaction 💚

More than day care — it’s their second home 💚

  • Back to Routine 💚

With half term over, it’s been a lovely week settling back into our usual rhythm here at Wright Zone Doggy Day Care.

Maverick, our much-loved “Head of Operations”, has returned after his recent operation — and as always, he’s brought that calm, confident energy that helps everything just fall into place.

We’ve also had some new inductions, including Dottie & Bones — two lively little characters who arrived full of enthusiasm! After exploring the space, plenty of sniffs and a bit of play, they began to settle in nicely, which is exactly what we aim for.

Not every dog suits every environment, and here at Wright Zone we keep things calm, structured and personal. With smaller, carefully matched groups, dogs are given the time and space to build confidence and feel secure.

It’s been a great start back after the break, and we’re looking forward to welcoming more new faces over the coming weeks.

  • Featured in Island Echo: Wright Zone Opens in Ventnor!

We’re absolutely thrilled to be featured in Island Echo following our recent opening! The article captures exactly what Wright Zone is all about: a calm, indoor “home from home” for dogs, designed with welfare and emotional wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.

Island Echo highlighted how Wright Zone, founded by me, Suzanne Wright, provides a safe, structured space where dogs can relax, socialise appropriately, and feel secure while their owners are away. With small, well-matched groups, dedicated zones for play, rest, and quiet time, and a focus on observation over overstimulation, we’re creating an environment where every pup thrives.

As the piece notes: “I wanted to create something that put dogs first in every sense. That means small, well-balanced groups, lots of observation, and a calm routine rather than overstimulation.” And the best part? We’ve already welcomed our first guests, and the feedback has been paws-itively wonderful!

A huge thank you to Island Echo for shining a light on local businesses like ours. If you’re on the Isle of Wight and looking for reliable, professional day care in Ventnor, we’d love to meet you and your dog. Head to our client portal to register and book an assessment—spaces are limited to keep things personal and stress-free.
