    Well… I genuinely wasn’t expecting THIS!

    After an already exciting day seeing Wright Zone featured in the Isle of Wight County Press, another rather special email landed in my inbox…

    Wright Zone Doggy Day Care is a Red Funnel Isle of Woof Award FINALIST!

    And not just shortlisted — we’ve made the FINAL THREE! 🥹🏆

    I’m excited, overwhelmed and ridiculously proud. Wright Zone has only been open for a matter of months, so to already be recognised as one of the final three in our category is a real pinch-me moment.

    But the loveliest part is knowing that you put us there. Every vote came from people who trust me with their dogs, recommend Wright Zone and have supported this little Ventnor doggy day care from the beginning.

    Honestly, thank you. 💚

    On 12th November we’ll be heading to Northwood House to discover whether Wright Zone takes Bronze, Silver or Gold.

    Whatever happens on the night, I’m incredibly proud of what Wright Zone has achieved already.

  • The Wright Zone Photo Wall is growing! 🐾📸

    A little snapshot of some of the wonderful dogs who have spent time with us at Wright Zone Doggy Day Care in Ventnor. From tiny paws to big personalities, quiet cuddles to crazy playtimes — they all become part of the Wright Zone family. 💚

    There are lots more furry faces still to be added, and plenty of room for all the new ones yet to come!

  • 🍂 As Summer Tails Off

    The summer holidays may be coming to an end, the children are heading back to school and autumn is just around the corner — which means routines are changing again for lots of families… including our four-legged ones!

    At Wright Zone Doggy Day Care, our days are all about providing a safe, comfortable and happy home-from-home environment where dogs can spend time with carefully matched canine friends, enjoy play, enrichment and plenty of attention — with time to relax and recharge too.

    We’re not a large, traditional daycare setting. Dogs spend their day with me in a relaxed, home-style environment, with access to comfortable indoor spaces and our secure garden. Some arrive ready for a day of play, some prefer a quieter companion and a comfy spot on the sofa, and many enjoy a little bit of both!

    Every new dog starts with an induction, giving me the opportunity to get to know them and, importantly, giving them time to get to know me and the environment before joining us for daycare. I carefully consider personalities, ages, play styles and individual needs when deciding which dogs spend time together.

    As we head into autumn, Wright Zone continues to welcome both local dogs needing regular daycare and dogs visiting the Isle of Wight with their families, subject to availability.

    Whether it’s while you’re at work, enjoying a day out, or simply because your dog loves spending time with their Wright Zone friends, the aim is always the same:

  • A Lovely Start… and Just the Beginning 🐾

    Wright Zone is now 10 weeks open, and what a special first chapter it’s been.

    In that short time, we’ve started to build something that feels exactly as it was intended — a calm, structured space where dogs can settle, build confidence, and truly feel at home.

    From our regulars who now trot through the door like they own the place (you know who you are 💁‍♀️)… to those just starting their journey with gentle inductions and shorter sessions, every dog is given the time, care, and understanding they need.

    We keep our groups small and carefully matched by design, allowing each dog to feel safe, relaxed, and part of a balanced little pack — not overwhelmed or overlooked.

    It’s been a joy to watch friendships form, confidence grow, and personalities shine 💚

    And we’re only just getting started.

  • Back to Routine 💚

    With half term over, it’s been a lovely week settling back into our usual rhythm here at Wright Zone Doggy Day Care.

    Maverick, our much-loved “Head of Operations”, has returned after his recent operation — and as always, he’s brought that calm, confident energy that helps everything just fall into place.

    We’ve also had some new inductions, including Dottie & Bones — two lively little characters who arrived full of enthusiasm! After exploring the space, plenty of sniffs and a bit of play, they began to settle in nicely, which is exactly what we aim for.

    Not every dog suits every environment, and here at Wright Zone we keep things calm, structured and personal. With smaller, carefully matched groups, dogs are given the time and space to build confidence and feel secure.

    It’s been a great start back after the break, and we’re looking forward to welcoming more new faces over the coming weeks.
